Over the past few weeks, the logistics team of 2172 has been working hard on award applications. After carefully reading the requirements for the awards, we have been starting with outlines consisting of the very essence of what we will need to write. As we have brainstormed more and more, these outlines have grown much longer and more detailed, slowing changing from a general idea to a very specific skeleton of our award application essays. Turning each bullet point into a sentence or two, we have been able to transform each outline into paragraphs; these paragraphs, in turn, have been edited and revised to make a polished essay. This process has already been a success for the Woodie Flowers Award, and is continuing to effectively help as the team works hard on the Media and Technology Innovation Award.
